Police ready as Hells Angels converge on Saskatoon for national rally

SASKATOON - Saskatoon police want to make sure that hundreds of bikers rolling into the city are on their best behaviour.

Police spokeswoman Alyson Edwards says as many as 500 Hells Angels are expected for a national rally over the next few days.

But Edwards says police are not anticipating any problems.

She says the group is more organized than a street gang that would be more likely to commit random assaults, break and enters or create trouble at local bars.

Edwards says it's a highly organized event and she doesn't think the group wants any embarrassing incidents.

Extra officers from Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia and the RCMP have been brought in to help Saskatoon police.
