There will be an assortment of products, services and information available for parents and soon-to-be parents alike, during the annual Estevan Bump, Baby and Toddler Expo on Saturday, September 13 at the Power Dodge Curling Centre.
Doors will open at 10 a.m.
Event spokesperson Chelsey Driedger said they already have 30 booths registered. They can accommodate more than 60. Registrations continue to be filed.
This is the first year that the expo will be in the curling rink. The rink is larger than their previous venues, so Driedger said they have more space to accommodate booths.
Exhibitors will be bringing a variety of merchandise. Much of it will be handmade, such as tutus, crocheted clothes and knitted merchandise.
Arbonne and Scentscy representatives will have booths at the expo. Jewelry will also be for sale.
“It's not all just geared towards mothers and babies and infants, it's a family show, so there's going to be something for everybody there,” said Driedger.
Driedger said they only have one photographer committed to the show thus far, and she would like to see more photographers register.
Presentations and entertainment will also be part of the expo. Music for Young Children will sing at 10:30 a.m. The annual baby crawl competition will be at 11 a.m., and magician Ritchie Roy will perform at 11:30.
Roy will be sticking around to make balloon animals and entertain children during the afternoon.
Infant massages will be provided at 1 p.m.
This year is the first time that Driedger has chaired the event. She was on the committee last year.
Proceeds from the baby expo will be directed towards the obstetrics unit at St. Joseph's Hospital in Estevan.
