Reimer releases second novel

Tanya Reimer has released her second novel, a young adult tale Petrified.

Bellegarde's Tanya Reimer has had a book published for the second time in less than a month.

The latest release is Petrified, which is geared towards young adults.

It's a speculative novel about a 13-year-old Saskatchewan boy, Gabe, who must save the world 100 years in the future. Bogies have attacked the Saskatchewan Prairies in 2015, and have turned people to stone.

Gabe has studied Notebooks by Grey Whisperers all his life, and believes Grey Whispers will come. But he has to fend off the bogeys, especially after they seize his older brother.

He befriends two Whisperers, who use his Notebooks to tame the monsters with nothing but magical whispers.

The trio set out to fight the enemy behind the attacks, but the truth puts in question everything they believe in, including their friendship.

The novel is published by Sunbury Press. It is available in a paperback format, or as an e-book via Nook or Kindle.

Reimer's first novel, Ghosts on the Prairies, was released earlier in the summer as an e-book. It will be released in paperback later this year.
