Lafrentz family supports campaign

(L-R) St. Joseph’s Hospital executive director Greg Hoffort and hospital foundation executive director Becky Conly accept a cheque for $100,000 from Kelly and Arlene Lafrentz.

Kelly and Arlene Lafrentz’s family has stepped forward as the latest donor for the campaign to bring a computed tomography (CT) scanner to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Estevan.

The Lafrentz family presented a cheque for $100,000 to the hospital’s foundation on August 5. Their donation brings the CT scanner initiative to more than $1.2 million.

The foundation has been charged with raising $2 million before the CT scanner can proceed. The money will be used to purchase and install the equipment, renovate the area where it will be located, and operate the equipment in its initial stages.
