Beach Bash will be August 16

An event that has become synonymous with summer in southeast Saskatchewan will be happening on Saturday, August 16.

Tourism Estevan's Beach Bash will be held at the Woodlawn Regional Park's Boundary Dam Beach Site south of Estevan. Festivities will start at noon, and continue until 2 a.m. on the 17th.

There will be activities for people of all ages to choose from. Attractions will include swimming in Boundary Dam, a sand castle competition, yoga, face painting, a beach volley tournament, Tiki hut games and a beer garden.

Two food trucks will be on hand to serve meals.

Dan the Magic Man will perform a magic show at 3 p.m. The Saskatchewan Roughriders' home game against the Montreal Alouettes will be shown on a big screen television at 5 p.m.

Live music will start at 8 p.m. Cross Roads and Third Degree Birnz have been book to perform.

A fireworks show will happen after dusk. The fireworks will explode over the water of the reservoir, creating an impressive appearance.

There will also be a shuttle bus from the Estevan Shoppers Mall to the Beach Bash site. The first bus will leave the mall at 7 p.m.
