Carsons present CT scanner donation

Ron and Shirley Carson of Lampman have fulfilled their commitment to the new computed tomography (CT) scanner at St. Joseph's Hospital in Estevan.

The Carsons presented a cheque for $500,000 to the St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation on July 16. Their support for the scanner had already been announced.

The scanner will be housed in the Ron and Shirley Carson Diagnostic Centre.

The fundraising campaign for the CT scanner is already well underway, as more than $1.1 million has been raised. The foundation has to raise $2 million to purchase and install the equipment, renovate the area where it will be located, and operate the scanner during the early stages.
