The Estevan Tower Wolves and the Carlyle Cardinals are vying for top spot in the Saskota Baseball League.
The Cardinals improved their record to 12-1-1 with three wins in a six-day span. They defeated the Oxbow Chiefs 10-0 on July 10, the Carnduff Astros 8-4 on July 14, and they beat the Kenosee Cubs the following night. (Score was not available).
Estevan kept within striking distance of first place, and improved their record to 11-2-1, with a 15-8 home win over the Arcola Threshers on July 15.
In third place are the Astros (7-5). They defeated the Redvers As 11-6 on July 10. They also played the Lampman Pirates on July 15. (Score was unavailable at press time).
Kenosee (5-6-3) is in fourth. They lost to the Arcola Threshers 4-3 on July 14.
Lampman (4-4-3) is in fifth. The Oxbow Chiefs (5-6-4) are in sixth place. Their latest game, on July 15, was a 6-6 tie against the Wawota Pats.
Arcola (4-8-2) is in seventh. Wawota (3-8-1) is in eighth, and Redvers (1-11-2) sits in the bottom of the league.
The Saskota league is scheduled to wrap up its regular season. A total of 10 games will be played in a seven-day span.

*Wednesday July 23: Lampman at Oxbow.
