Fatal ATV rollover near Lampman

Comments

A 30-year-old Lampman male has been killed in a fatal all-terrain vehicle rollover just east of Lampman.

Chris Byers was found deceased on Friday morning by a friend who was part of a contingent that had been searching for him. Byers was found in a field just beyond the east edge of Lampman, near the junction of Highway 361 and the 605 grid road.

Estevan RCMP and Lampman EMS responded to the scene of the accident.

Police and the chief coroner's office are conducting an investigation into Byers' death. Thus far, it has been learned that Byers had gone out quadding by himself shortly after 9 p.m. Thursday night, and had not been heard from since. Byers was not wearing a helmet at the time of the rollover.

The death is not considered suspicious, and an autopsy has been ordered.

The investigation is ongoing.
