Two people have been killed after a small Cessna plane crashed near Torquay on Sunday morning.

The aircraft was reported overdue a short time before the accident was reported.

The investigation is ongoing, and the Transport Canada Safety Board investigation team is involved, to assist with determining the cause of the crash.

More details will be provided as the investigation unfolds.

The names of the deceased are being withheld pending notification of all next of kin.
