The Rotary Club of Estevan is the first organization to step forward to purchase naming rights through the St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation’s revitalization campaign.
Local Rotary president-elect Charles Olsen presented a cheque for $20,000 to foundation director Becky Conly during Rotary’s annual Lobsterfest fundraiser on June 6 at Affinity Place.
Rotary has committed to purchase the naming rights to the hospital’s helipad, which is used by the STARS Air Ambulance helicopter. The naming rights cost $120,000, and Rotary has 10 years to pay off their commitment.
Half of the $120,000 will come from the club, and the other half will be from its foundation.
This isn’t the first time that Rotary has supported the helipad. Two years ago, Rotary donated $20,000 towards the construction of the landing area.
