Tower Wolves on top of Saskota league


The Estevan Tower Wolves defeated the Carlyle Cardinals 7-6 on June 3 to move to 4-1, and they are on top of the Saskota baseball league.

They suffered their first loss of the season to the Wawota Pats on May 29.

The second place team is the Cardinals (2-1). The loss to Estevan was their first defeat of the season. They were also in action on May 29, as they defeated the Arcola Threshers 2-0.

The Carnduff Astros (2-1) are tied for second. They earned a 6-2 victory over the Kenosee Cubs on May 29.

Kenosee also has a 2-1 record. They recently defeated the Redvers A’s on May 28. Their loss to the Astros was their only setback this season.

In fifth are the Lampman Pirates (2-2). They only played one game this past week; they edged out Redvers 6-5, on June 3.

The Oxbow Chiefs (1-1) are in sixth as they were in action May 29 beating the A’s 9-6. Wawota (1-1-1) is in seventh place, as they lost to Estevan on May 29, Arcola (1-2-1) is in eight and Redvers (0-5) is in the basement in ninth place.

Upcoming games in the league are:

*Thursday, June 5: Arcola at Oxbow, Wawota at Redvers, and Lampman at Carlyle. Games start at 6:30 p.m. Kenosee at Estevan is at 7:30 p.m.

*Tuesday, June 10: Arcola at Kenosee, Redvers at Carnduff, Lampman at Wawota, and Oxbow at Carlyle. All games start at 6:30 p.m.
