Bruins Alumni tournament is approaching

The Estevan Bruins Alumni Association has announced that they will be holding the sixth annual Boston Pizza Bruin Alumni Hole-In-One/Par 3 Golf Tournament on Saturday, June 7, at the TS&M Woodlawn Golf Course.

The tournament has a four-person Texas Scramble format, and there is a limit of 36 teams. Each hole on the golf course will be converted into a par-3, and the tournament features a guaranteed $20,000 prize for the first hole-in-one at each hole.

Bruin Alumni board member Brant Kersey said that they would like see the top prize be won at every hole.

There will also be cash prizes for the longest putt and closest approach on each hole.

The tournament will have a shotgun start at 1 p.m.

The funds raised from the tournament go towards the Estevan Bruins Junior A Hockey Club. The Bruins Alumni Association recently completed their $40,000 commitment to the Bruins dressing room project.

The tournament is open to Bruin alumina as well as the public. Kersey encourages both parties to come out and fill the course.

Food and drink holes will be spread out around the course.

The deadline to register for the tournament is June 4.
