Saskota league opens season

The Estevan Tower Wolves routed the Redvers A's 16-2 to earn a victory in their home opener on May 22.

The Saskota Baseball League recently began their season.

The Estevan Tower Wolves have gotten off to a fast start to the season, as they are 3-0. They started the season in Lampman and defeated the Pirates 4-1 on May 20, and beat the Redvers A’s 16-2 in their home opener on May 22. Estevan picked up their third win on May 27 at home, as they won 11-2 against the Carnduff Astros.

The Carlyle Cardinals have only played one game so far, and that was a 13-1 road win over the Wawota Pats on May 22.

The Kenosee Cubs are also 1-0, as they earned a 7-6 victory over the Lampman Pirates, also on the 22nd.

Carnduff has a 1-1 record, as the Astros opened the season with a 6-2 victory over the Arcola Threshers on May 22, and then lost to Estevan.

Arcola is 1-1-1, as they lost their home opener to the Astros, but rebounded in their next game, and defeated the A’s 6-3 May 25. They played their third game on May 27, and tied Wawota 6-6.

Lampman went 1-2. Their lone victory was against the Oxbow Chiefs; the Pirates defeated them 8-7 on May 27.

The Chiefs are 0-1, the Pats 0-1-1 and the A’s are 0-2 to start the season.

Up-coming games in the league are:

*Thursday, May 29: Kenosee at Carnduff, Estevan at Wawota, Oxbow at Redvers and Arcola at Carlyle.

*Tuesday, June 3: Wawota at Kenosee, Oxbow at Carnduff, Redvers at Lampman, and Carlyle at Estevan.
