Auxiliary hosts May meeting

Highlights from the May meeting of the St. Joseph’s Health Care Auxiliary:

*The auxiliary received a thank you card from Delores Duff, for the support that auxiliary members showed following the passing of Duff’s mother.

*Treasurer Darla Wilhelm provided a report on the auxiliary’s tea and bake sale in early May. During the sale, the auxiliary handed over a cheque for $15,000 to the hospital –representing the latest payment installment in the auxiliary’s commitment to purchase equipment for the intensive care unit.

*The auxiliary received 12 applications for scholarships this year. Two bursaries will be handed out.

*Wilhelm and co-president Nola Joseph represented the auxiliary, while Ginger Anderson and Marlene Hayward represented the Saskatchewan Health Auxiliary Association, during the recent district meeting in Radville. Next year’s district get-together will be in Fillmore.

*The next meeting will be June 16. There will be a potluck supper, as it will be the final meeting before the summer break.
