The Man-Sask WolfPack, which boasts several players from southeast Saskatchewan, claimed the silver medal at the recent Source for Sports AAA Hockey Challenge in Brandon, Manitoba.

The WolfPack opened the tournament with a 7-3 loss to the Husky Prospects team based out of Saskatoon. The WolfPack led 2-1 at one point in the first period, but the Prospects rallied, and pulled away in the second and third periods.

Their next three games were lopsided victories. Man-Sask routed Winnipeg's Manitoba Thunderbolts 11-2, and then they trounced the Parkland Prospects 25-0. Goaltender Ryan Hicks picked up the shutout victory against Parkland.

The WolfPack clinched their spot in the final with a 14-0 rout of the Shooting Stars team, which has players from Hudson Bay in Saskatchewan, and Flin Flon and The Pas in Manitoba.

Man-Sask faced the Husky Prospects once again in the final, and the Saskatoon team emerged victorious. (The score was not available).

Next up for the WolfPack is a series of exhibition games against the Moose Jaw Epic, followed up by the City of Bridges AAA Challenge in Saskatoon from May 16 to 19.
