Brayden Pachal, a defenceman for the Estevan TS&M Bantam AA Bruins, was selected in the WHL Draft on May 1.
Pachal was chosen by the Victoria Royals in the second round, 40th overall. He goes to a Victoria team that had the fifth-best record in the WHL last year.
Pachal finished last season with 14 goals and 27 points in 31 regular season games for Estevan; 20 of his points came in the Bruins' final 17 games. He added three goals and eight points in the Bruins' seven playoff contests.
He was the fifth Saskatchewan player selected in the draft.
