Large turnout for fundraiser

Magician Danny Kazam provided entertainment at the Estevan Public Library's fundraiser.

A fundraiser for the Estevan Public Library on April 26 proved to be a big attraction.

An estimated crowd of 250 people – most of them children and their parents – packed the Nicholson Centre for the event.

The opening act came courtesy of the Lampman High School drama club's Hairball production. They performed several comedic scenes from the play.

Magician Danny Kazam was the featured act. The Regina-based magician delivered an interactive show in which he frequently asked for audience participation.

Proceeds will be directed towards the library's programming.
