The Prince Albert Mintos have won the 2014 Telus Cup in Moose Jaw. The Mintos got past the Chateauguay Grenadiers, who are from Quebec, 4-3 in triple overtime. This was the longest game in Telus Cup history. Prince Albert finished the round robin with a 3-0-2 record. They also have a 21-game unbeaten streak at the tournament, dating back to 2006. Estevan Bruins' prospect Ryan Duret is a forward with the Mintos.
In Major League Baseball, the Seattle Mariners took two of three games from the Texas Rangers over the weekend. The Mariners are in fourth place in the American League West.
In NCAA Baseball, the No. 12 Florida Gators swept the Missouri Tigers over the weekend. The Gators record is 30-15 overall and 15-6 in conference play. Their next series is against the Alabama Crimson Tide.
