The Binghamton Senators are ready to open the 2013-14 AHL playoffs against the Wilkes-Barrie Scranton Penguins on April 25. The Sens finished with 96 points and a record of 44-25-3-5, which was good enough for third in the Eastern Conference. Binghamton won the season series with the Penguins, taking four of the seven match-ups.
The curling world has learned that Kevin Martin has decided to retire. Following his announcement, he played in one last tournament, the Grand Slam of Curling Players’ Championship, and defeated Brad Jacobs 4-3 in the men’s final. He leaves as one of the winningest players of all time.
