Henderson shares top song award

Former Estevan resident Chris Henderson captured one of the top honours at the Saskatchewan Country Music Association (SCMA) Awards on April 13 in Nipawin.

Henderson shared the Song of the Year Award in the composer category for Don't Miss your Kiss Goodbye. Troy Kokol and Willie Mack received the award alongside Henderson.

The song was also up for single of the year. Jess Moskaluke's Good Lovin' was the winner in that category.

Henderson was a nominee for the Male Artist of the Year and the Fan's Choice Entertainer of the Year Awards, but Codie Prevost took home both of those honours.

Don't Miss your Kiss Goodbye is one of the songs on Henderson's latest album, My Turn, which was released last month.
