The Estevan Police Service has announced the six local safety patrollers who will be attending the province-wide Safety Patrol Jamboree next month.

Alexa Dauk-Law of Spruce Ridge School, Angelle Avery of Pleasantdale School, Bryce Huber of St. Mary's School, Marci LeBlanc of Sacred Heart School/École Sacré Coeur, Megan Parsons of Westview School and Rowan Pryor of Hillcrest School were selected.

They were lauded for displaying leadership, enthusiasm, maturity, promptness and dependability.

The jamboree will take place May 1 to 3 in Regina. During the event, safety patrollers will enjoy numerous activities, including a tour of the Legislative building, the Government House, the RCMP training depot and the Saskatchewan Science Centre. There will also be nightly entertainment, swimming and water slides.

The patrollers will be chaperoned by Constable Braden Lonsberry, who is the Estevan Police Service's school resource officer.

There will also be a wind-up dance for all local safety patrollers on Wednesday, May 29 at the Days Inn Plaza. The dance is an opportunity to show appreciation to the patrollers for the work they do during the school year, amid the variety of weather conditions.
