Bantam AAs drop consolation final

The Estevan TS&M Bantam AA Bruins wrapped up their season with a 7-2 loss to the Saskatoon Outlaws in a one-game Saskatchewan Bantam AA Hockey League consolation final.

Saskatoon led 3-0 after the first period, and added two more tallies in the second for a 5-0 advantage. Preston Brodziak scored late in the second and early in the third to pull Estevan to within three, but the Outlaws scored twice before the midway point of the third to dash any hopes of an Estevan comeback.

Jeremy Dumaine and Ethan Veroba shared the goaltending duties.

The consolation final was originally slated to be a best-of-three, but it had to be reduced to a one-game final, and it had to be played at a neutral site in Regina.
