The Estevan Sharks water polo team sent two squads to provincials in Saskatoon in late March.

The atom team, which is a co-ed entry for players 12 years old and under, finished with the silver medal. The bantam girls under-14 team took the bronze medal.

The atom team went 2-1 in the round-robin. A 10-7 loss to Regina in their second game was sandwiched between the two victories: a 10-8 win over Saskatoon and a 10-9 win over Weyburn.

Estevan faced Weyburn again in the semi-final, and emerged with a 12-7 victory, but lost 14-5 to Regina in the provincial final.

The bantam girls were 1-1 in their round-robin, as they lost 17-3 to Regina in the tournament opener, but responded with a 14-6 win over Saskaburn, a team comprised of players from Saskatoon and Weyburn.

Saskaburn recovered to beat Estevan 13-2 in the semi-final round, so Estevan finished with the bronze medal.
