Koe wins the Brier

Team Alberta skipped by Kevin Koe, beat John Morris and Team B.C 10-5 in the final of the Tim Horton’s Brier in Kamloops. Alberta finished the round robin in a three-way tie for first place with a 9-2 record, and then lost to B.C. in the page playoff. But they recovered to win the title. This is Koe’s second Brier title, and he will represent Canada at the World Men’s Curling Championships in China.

In NCAA Baseball, the Florida Gators swept a three-game series against the Connecticut Huskies. The Gators are in fifth place in the South Eastern Conference's East Division.

In NCAA Basketball, the No. 1 Florida Gators closed out the regular season with an 84-65 win over the Kentucky Wildcats. The Gators' record is 29-2 overall, and 18-0 in conference play.

The NBA's Los Angeles Clippers got past the Atlanta Hawks 109-108 in a close game. The Clippers are in first in the Pacific Division.

In Major League Baseball spring training, the Seattle Mariners spit squad lost to the Kansas City Royals 8-2 in a one=sided game.

The Binghamton Senators of the AHL lost twice, losing to the Utica Comets 6-5, and then to the Syracuse Crunch 4-3.

In the WHL, the Regina Pats split their recent games, taking out the Lethbridge Hurricanes 5-2 and then losing to the Kootney Ice 3-1.

The Windsor Spitfires of the OHL lost both of their game. They lost to the Erie Otters 6-1 and lost 5-1 to the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds.

In the English Premier League, Manchester United beat West Brom FC 3-0 in a one-sided game. Man U’s record is 14-8-6, and they are in sixth place in the league.
