The Estevan Police Service and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public's assistance with an armed robbery that occurred on March 6 in Estevan.

The male suspect entered the No Frills gas bar on King Street at about 8:30 a.m. He was carrying a weapon, and approached the employee and demanded cash. The suspect left the business with an undisclosed amount of money.

He ran south across King Street, and past the Estevan Alliance Church. He was last spotted at the parking lot of the Petterson Point condominiums.

The male was described as being approximately 5'7" to 5'10" tall, with a slim build and a deep voice. He wore a black mask that covered his face, and a black sweater or bunny hug.

Estevan Police Service members also made a pair of arrests on drug possession charges during the weekend.

Police stopped a vehicle in the central part of the city on Saturday night. The male motorist was a suspended driver and was charged accordingly. He was then found to have warrants for his arrest for driving while disqualified. The driver was checked on the alcohol roadside screening device, and passed that test. A male passenger was sent home in a taxi cab while police dealt with the vehicle, which was seized, and driver. Officers also located cocaine and have charged the motorist with possession. Police continue to investigate, and may lay charges of possession of cocaine against the male passenger who was in the vehicle.

Police checked a vehicle at a northern liquor establishment on Friday night, and arrested two males for possession of marijuana. The male driver was also arrested for impaired care and control of a motor vehicle. The male was brought back to the police station to obtain breath samples, and failed to provide a proper sample. Both were charged with possession of a controlled substance, and the driver is facing other charges.

Police checked another vehicle as it was departing a north end liquor establishment. The driver failed a roadside test and was brought back to the police station to provide samples. The male has been charged with impaired driving and driving while over .08.
