Highlights from the February meeting of the Estevan Christian Women’s After 5 Club on February 19 at Living Hope Church:
*The meeting offered the annual fashion show, and it attracted 65 people, including some men. It's the one meeting each year in which women can bring their spouses. Cowtown Masterfeeds supplied the clothing for the fashion show.
*Ron Richardson was the guest speaker. He grew up on a farm near Olds, Alberta. He explained how he was raised to have morals, but was also told to be a good person and not to be judgmental. Richardson explained how he became to be a Christian after struggling with what he called an immoral lifestyle. Persistent Christian friends introduced him to Jesus, he said. Richardson has survived three serious accidents and stresses Jesus’ importance in seeing him through those ordeals.
*The next meeting will be on Wednesday, March 19 at Living Hope, with music by Helen Thiessen. The St. Joseph’s Hospital's Adult Day Program will be the local feature. The guest speaker will be Diane Laubenstein from Burdett, Alberta, who will share her experiences.
