A missed opportunity

Comments

Dear editor,

The Green Party of Saskatchewan (GPS) is disappointed that the Saskatchewan Party Government and the NDP opposition have missed an opportunity to engage the public in a discussion about Casinos Regina and Moose Jaw, and gambling in Saskatchewan.

The voters should be consulted on the potential sale of the casinos. Our party has been opposed to allowing gaming and casinos to operate in Saskatchewan.

By allowing the proposed sale of the casinos to the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority to go through democratic channels, the people of Saskatchewan would have the final say in terms of how much Saskatchewan should derive their revenue from gaming and gambling.

Victor Lau

Green Party of Saskatchewan leader
