A healthy contingent of local athletes will be part of the Southeast Connection's entry at the 2014 Saskatchewan Winter Games in Prince Albert from February 16 to 22.
The athletes were unveiled during a pep rally on February 8.
“I would like to give special praise and congratulations to the individuals that have volunteered their time as coaches, managers and mission staff – there would be no games experience without your leadership and support," said Southeast Connection chair Helen Fornwald.
Among the athletes who will be part of the southeast contingent are:
*Badminton: Amy Cameron of Alameda; and Savannah Girard, Jalisa Nordin, Brandon Puchard and Breanne Wolkowski of Oxbow.
*Bowling: Danielle Annetts, Payton Baglole, Laci Glennie, Meegan Hood, Alex Kerr, Grace Larson and Damen Neufeld of Carnduff.
*Female curling: Taylor Marcotte of Torquay, Angela Taylor of Lampman, and Chaelynn Kitz and Halynne Lamontagne of Oxbow.
*Figure skating: Madison Folkerts, Emily Hanson and Nicole Kistanov of Estevan; Kyla Fischer of Carlyle; Jenna Meredith of Gainsborough; and Cassidy Weber of Arcola.
*Female hockey: Megan LeBlanc and Michaella Matthies of Estevan; Janissa Cooley of Oxbow; Teanna Sieben of Bienfait; and Makenna Morrison and Raine Smith of Carlyle.
*Male hockey: Cole Fonstad of Estevan; Hayden Cutler of Arcola; Cody Levesque of Carnduff; Colton Schell of Lampman; and Trey Stocker of Stoughton.
*Synchronized swimming: Nyla Dyck, Tracy Irwin, Brooke Kruger, Taylor Kuntz, Hannah Mantei, Eden Palmer, Danika Poirier, Kelsey Potoma, Marlie Weinrauch, Hannah Whitman and Alyssa Wieting of Estevan.
*Table tennis: Jay Ross Be, Jean Ross Be and Tate Wrubleski of Estevan.
