Highlights from the January meeting of the Estevan Christian Women's After 5 Club:
*Thirty-eight women attended the meeting, which was held at Living Hope Community Church. The event started with socializing and supper.
*Musical selections were provided by Jesse and Zachary Beahm, and their mother, Dawn Marie Sloan-Beahm.
*Animal behavioral specialist Dawn Klassen spoke about her business, All Creatures. Her talk was informative and interactive, as she answered many questions from the audience about their pets.
*The evening wrapped up by hearing from Delores Moskal, a certified financial planner who shared her story about planning for the future.
“The Ultimate Future Plan is as easy as ABC,” said Moskal. “A: Admit you are a sinner. B: Believe that Jesus is the Son of God. And C – Call on Jesus to come into your life.”
*The club’s next meeting will be Wednesday, February 19 at Living Hope. It is their annual guest night, with a fashion show for men and women, provided by Cowtown in Estevan. Both men and women are encouraged to attend. It's the one meeting each year that's open to men. Ron and Heidi Richardson from Olds, Alberta, will be the featured speakers. Ron is a farmer who also works in road construction. Music and hockey have influenced his life story, which is titled Life is No Accident. Coffee and tea will be served at 6:30 p.m., and supper will be at 7 p.m.
*A prayer connection, which happens in the week prior to the monthly meeting, will be Thursday, February 13 at 10 a.m.
