Location change for chamber meeting

Comments

The Estevan Chamber of Commerce has announced a venue change for its February meeting.

The meetings have mostly been at Allie's Dining in recent years. But due to renovations at the restaurant, the chamber has shifted its February 12 meeting to the Days Inn's Taylorton Room. It will begin at noon.

Mayor Roy Ludwig will be the guest speaker.

“He will be speaking about the City’s priorities and objectives for 2014, and (he will give) a review of the 2013 year,” said Chamber executive director Michel Cyrenne.

“At the beginning of each year, we have the mayor of the City give a recap of the previous year to let the business community know what the city has accomplished in the past year, and what they hope to accomplish in the coming year.”

“The luncheon that the Mayor speaks about the City’s plans for the future is well-attended,” said chamber marketing and events coordinator Rebecca Howie. “Most business people like to be able to ask questions about the City’s plans moving forward.”

The luncheon will start at noon. It is open to the public.
