The Estevan Arts Council's Energy City Film Circuit will be presenting Cas & Dylan on Saturday, January 25, at the Orpheum Theatre.
The show, which will be the third for the film circuit this season, will begin at 4 p.m.
Canadian actor Jason Priestley, who starred in such television series as Beverly Hills 90210 and Call Me Fritz, makes his big screen directorial debut in Cas & Dylan.
Screen legend Richard Dreyfuss stars as Dr. Cas Pepper, a surgeon whose only companion in life is his small dog. Faced with some unexpected news, he makes the abrupt decision to leave Winnipeg and drive west to British Columbia – and to an uncertain future.
Before departing, he meets an aspiring young writer named Dylan, played by Toronto International Film Festival Rising Star award winner Tatiana Maslany. She possesses a life-altering secret of her own, and wants to come along for the ride.
The two companions hit the road, and encounter a series of bizarre twists and turns along their cross-country journey. It isn’t long before they realize that, in searching for an escape route, they may have found their place in the world.
