Questions linger on program changes

Dear editor,

The Green Party of Saskatchewan (GPS) wants to know if the Brad Wall Government had a role in federal changes to the Temporary Foreign Workers program.

Did Premier Wall encourage Ottawa to scrap plans to protect foreign workers from sexual and job discrimination? Having seen the Saskatchewan Federation of Labour press release on temporary foreign workers, the GPS also requests further clarification from the premier on this issue.

Surely Premier Wall could not be in favour of protecting businesses who violate workers rights or labour standards. The Sask. Party has to represent all of Saskatchewan's interests, including not only businesses, but also the workers who labour in those workplaces.

The GPS looks forward to hearing a timely response from the Premier.

Victor Lau,

Provincial Green Party leader
