The Estevan Blue Rock Junior Midget Bruins scored 17 goals over the course of two home games, but managed just a split of the contests.
Estevan lost 10-8 to the Regina Blues on January 10 at the Civic Auditorium. Estevan had a 6-4 lead after two periods, but Regina rallied with four goals in the first 10 minutes of the third period. The two teams then traded goals in the final 10 minutes.
Peyton Stevenson had a hat trick to pace Estevan's attack. Colein Poole and JJ Holma each scored once and added two assists. Ethan Wanner, Prestin Bergen and Josh Giblett had the other goals.
Cole Bourassa and bantam call-up Jeremy Dumaine shared the goaltending duties.
Estevan routed the Regina Mustangs 9-0 two days later. Holma led the way with three goals and two assists, and Wanner also scored thrice. Stevenson had a goal and four assists.
Dagan Olson and Cole Skjonsby also scored.
Cam Lavoie had the shutout in goal.
Estevan is third in their league with an 8-7-1 record. They'll host Melville on January 17 at 7:45 p.m. at the Civic Auditorium, and then they'll visit the Regina Royals on January 19.
The Estevan Century 21 Bantam A Bruins dropped a 4-1 decision to the Regina Penguins on January 11.
