The North Dakota State Bison are off to the Football Championship Subdivision semi-finals after taking out the second-seeded team, the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers, 48-10 in the quarter-final. The Bison will face the New Hampshire Wildcats, who have a record of 10-4, while the Bison’s record is 13-0. I hope North Dakota State can keep this run going and the win their national championship.
In the NFL, the New England Patriots lost to the Miami Dolphins 24-20 in a close game. This time the Pats could not engineer a comeback. Their record sits at 10-4 and their next game is against the Baltimore Ravens.
Other scores from week 15 were: the Green Bay Packers came back and got past the Dallas Cowboys 37-36, the Seattle Seahawks hammered the New York Giants 23-0 and the Kansas City Chiefs took out the Oakland Raiders 56-31.
In the WHL, the Regina Pats lost to the Medicine Hat Tigers 4-3 in a shootout, and they also lost to the Kelowna Rockets 5-4 in overtime. The Pats are in fifth place in the Eastern Conference.
In the OHL, the Windsor Spitfires lost to the Owen Sound Attack 3-2 in a close game. Windsor also lost to the Barrie Colts 4-3 in a shootout.
In the NHL, the Ottawa Senators lost to the Los Angeles Kings 5-2 in a one-sided game. The Senators did get past the Buffalo Sabers 2-1.
In the NBA, the Los Angeles Clippers blasted the Washington Wizards 113-97. The Clippers are in fourth place in the Western Conference.
In the English Premier League, Manchester United shut out Aston Villa 3-0 in a one-sided game. Man U is in eighth place with a 7-5-4 record.
