Estevan Police Service members had to deal with numerous violations under the Alcohol and Gaming Regulations Act (AGRA) during the weekend.

Police attended to various residences in Estevan on Saturday night regarding noise complaints. Owners were warned of the City of Estevan's noise bylaw.

Police were dispatched to a northeast Estevan establishment on the report of a disturbance in progress. Police arrested a 33-year-old male, at which time he was transported to the police station, and lodged in cells until sober. He was charged with being intoxicated in a public place under AGRA.

Police attended to a north-central Estevan establishment on the report of a male refusing to leave the premise, and for possessing open alcohol where it wasn't allowed. A 26-year-old male was arrested as a result, and transported to the police station, where he was lodged in cells until sober. He was also charged for public intoxication as per AGRA.

A 26-year-old male was transported to the police station after kicking a door at a north-central Estevan establishment. He was transported to the police station, where he was lodged in cells until sober.

A 31-year-old male was observed by police at a north-central Estevan establishment with open alcohol in public. Due to the level of his intoxication, he was arrested and transported to the police station, where he was lodged in cells until sober. He was also charged under AGRA for public intoxication.

Police were called to a northeast Estevan establishment Friday night on a report of suspicious behavior from a patron. A 32-year-old male was spoken to by police and told to leave the premises. The matter was resolved without incident.

A 17-year-old female was stopped by police in central Estevan, at which time marijuana and drug paraphernalia were seized. Beer was also seized. She was charged with possession of marijuana and is schedule to make her first appearance in Estevan Provincial Court on January 6, 2014. She was also charged with possessing alcohol under AGRA.

Officers were dispatched to a central Estevan facility on a report of several youths who were consuming alcohol. As a result, three youths were charged under AGRA for possessing alcohol.

Police were dispatched to a north Estevan establishment on a report of a patron causing a disturbance. A 55-year-old male was arrested as a result, and transported to the police station where he was lodged in cells until sober. He was also charged with public intoxication as per AGRA.

A 39-year-old male was observed by police to be walking along a street in central Estevan, and carrying open alcohol. He was charged under AGRA with having or consuming beverage alcohol in a place other than a private location.

Police received a report of a suspicious person possibly entering a vehicle in central Estevan. A male was found in the area and spoken to as a result. The matter remains under investigation.

Members were called to a residence in central Estevan as a result of a noise complaint. The homeowner was spoken to and warned about the noise bylaw.

Police were dispatched to an area near a north Estevan establishment on a report of a domestic disturbance. Further investigation resulted in a 39-year-old female being arrested and transported to the police station, where she was lodged in cells until sober.

Officers were called to a north Estevan establishment on the report of a disturbance in progress. All involved parties had fled the scene before police arrival.

Police responded to north-central Estevan on a call of an intoxicated female in a taxi cab refusing to leave. The female was transported to the police station, where she was lodged in cells until sober. 

A number of violations resulted in charges, including speeding and using a cell phone while driving. 

Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle Thursday night because the vehicle had no tail lights. The female driver exhibited signs of impairment. A demand for a breath sample was made, and the motorist failed. She was arrested and transported to the police station for two breath samples, both of which were over the legal limit. The driver was charged with impaired driving and drive over .08

Police were called to a local bar for a disturbance. On arrival, the staff met officers at the front door and advised them that the person has already left. They pointed out the female that was talking to a group of people. As the officer got into his car the female got into the car as well and would not leave. She was arrested for public intoxication and lodged in cells.
