Comments

The Estevan Blue Rock Junior Midget Bruins saw their three-game winning streak come to an end on December 7 in a 6-3 home ice loss to the Regina Blues.

Erik McKersie had all three goals for Estevan.

Regina had a 2-1 lead after the first period. All three goals in the opening frame were scored in the first five minutes. The Blues scored thrice in the second to lead 5-1 after two.

McKersie tallied twice in the third to pull Estevan to within two, but Regina added an insurance goal in the final two minutes to clinch the victory.

Cam Lavoie and Cole Barnstable shared the goaltending duties.

The Junior Midgets' record in league play is 4-3. They'll visit the Blues on December 14, and host the Regina Royals on December 15 at 4:30 p.m. at the Civic Auditorium.
