Coalers remain undefeated

Comments

The Bienfait Coalers are the only undefeated team remaining in the Big 6 Hockey League.

Bienfait upped their record to 5-0 with a pair of recent victories: 8-5 over the Midale Mustangs on November 27, and 9-2 over the Oxbow Huskies on November 30 in a match-up between the teams with the best records in the league so far this season.

The loss against Bienfait was the first of the year for the Huskies. The night before, the Huskies had defeated the Midale Mustangs 6-1.

The Arcola-Kisbey Combines (3-1-1) sit third in the standings. They defeated the Wawota Flyers 3-2 on November 29, and the Redvers Rockets 4-3 in a shootout on the 30th.

Midale (2-2) is fourth.

The Carnduff Red Devils sit fifth at 2-3. They lost 6-4 to the Wawota Flyers on November 30, but recovered to beat the Redvers Rockets 6-4 the following night.

Wawota (1-3-1) is sixth, while Redvers (0-3-2) is seventh, and still seeking their first win of the season.

Three games are scheduled for December 6. Redvers will visit Wawota, Bienfait will be at Midale and Oxbow will host Arcola-Kisbey. Games on December 7 include Carnduff at Arcola-Kisbey, Wawota at Redvers and Midale at Oxbow.

All games on December 6 and 7 will start at 8 p.m.

Bienfait will visit Carnduff on December 8 at 7 p.m.
