The Lampman Recreation Board's annual fundraiser raised tens of thousands of dollars for the operation of its different programs.
This year is the event was known as Croptoberfest, and it was a chance for the community to come together, celebrate the end of harvest and enjoy some entertainment.
Recreation director Haley Ingham said about 175 people attended the event, which was held at the Lampman School on October 26. Initial estimates indicate that it generated about $34,000 before expenses.
Ticket sales, along with live and silent auctions, accounted for a portion of the funds raised. The top-selling items during the live auction were a 58-inch television, followed by an autographed Kory Sheets Saskatchewan Roughriders jersey.
A $20,000 donation from Lampman's Ron Carson was also announced during the event.
The Saskatchewan Roughriders game at the Calgary Stampeders was televised during the event. Other highlights included a steak supper, and a performance by comedians BlackSalt and Brenda Q.
Funds raised during Croptoberfest will be directed towards the recreation department's different program and amenities, including the arena, the outdoor pool and the campground.
