Two people were injured in an accident involving a CP Rail train a truck near Midale on Thursday.
The pick-up truck was northbound on a grid road southeast of Midale when it collided with the train, which was heading northwest.
Upon impact, the truck was pushed into the town limits.
Weyburn RCMP, the Midale Fire Department, the Estevan EMS and the CP Rail Police responded to the scene.
The truck was occupied by two Estevan males. The 25-year-old driver sustained what were reported to be non-life threatening injuries, and the 22-year-old passenger was airlifted to hospital in Regina with what were reported as serious injuries.
The accident occurred at an uncontrolled rail crossing. There weren't any cars that went off the tracks nor are there any spills.
Some roads were blocked due to the collision and the ensuing investigation, including the South Road in Midale and the Provincial 702 Grid Road, but police say there shouldn't be any major delays with traffic.
The names of the two males are not being released at this time.
