The Saskatchewan Roughriders got past the Edmonton Eskimos 14-9 in a close game. The Riders defence stopped the Eskimos on the one-yard line late in the fourth quarter to clinch the victory. The offence played well in the first half but weren’t effective in the second. The Riders also celebrated Geroy Simon’s recent record-setting reception before the game. The Riders' record is 10-5, which is good for second place in the West Division, and their next game is against the B.C. Lions.

In the NFL, the New England Patriots got past the New Orleans Saints 30-27 in a wild game. Quarterback Tom Brady threw a last second touchdown to win the game. The Pats record is 5-1 and their next game is against the New York Jets.
