The Estevan TS&M Bantam AA Bruins didn't allow a goal in their first two league games.
Estevan opened the season with a 2-0 road victory over the Swift Current Raiders on September 28. Josh Skjonsby scored what proved to be the game-winning goal late in the first period. Wyatt Haux added the insurance goal midway through the third.
Ethan Veroba recorded the shutout in goal.
Cole Fonstad (two goals and an assist) and Brady Long (a goal and two assists) had three-point games, and Jeremy Dumaine stopped 21 shots in a 6-0 win over the Notre Dame Hounds on October 1.
Colton Schell, Brayden Pachal and Jayden Davis also scored.
Up next for Estevan is a three-game road trip. They'll visit the Saskatoon Stallions on October 4, the Saskatoon Outlaws on October 5 and the Prince Albert Raiders on October 6.
In other news, Pachal was Estevan's lone representative in an all-star game for 1999-born bantam players September 29 that was held in conjunction with the SJHL Showcase. Reports indicate that Pachal, a 14-year-old defenceman, appeared to score in the contest, but the goal was credited to another player.
Pachal's Team Black defeated Team Blue 5-4.
