A 48-year-old Alberta male is facing several charges after Estevan Police Service members conducted a traffic stop on Wednesday night.
Officers noticed he was operating a vehicle in a suspicious manner behind the Estevan Shoppers Mall. The suspect was taken into custody for impaired driving.
Further investigation revealed the accused was operating a stolen vehicle from Edmonton. A dealer license plate was also located on the vehicle and flagged as stolen. The accused was also on conditions and facing numerous charges from Alberta, and warrants had been issued for his arrest.
The Estevan Police Service have laid charges of impaired driving and driving while over .08, along with two charges of possession of property obtained by crime and two charges of breaching the conditions of his recognizance.
He was taken to court on Thursday morning.
Also on Wednesday night, a 28-year-old male is also facing charges for impaired driving and driving while over.08 after police stopped his vehicle as result of his driving actions. He will make a court appearance October 28.
