The City of Estevan announced on Sunday morning that its water treatment plant is fully operational, less than 48 hours after an electrical fire that resulted in a conserve water advisory.
There weren't any major injuries in the fire, but the electrical system was damaged, and the City asked residents to conserve water on Friday and Saturday. They needed to repair the systems so that the water could be treated and pumped.
Crews worked late Friday night and resumed their efforts early Saturday morning to fix the problem.
A boil water advisory was not issued.
