The finalists for the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce's Achievement in Business Excellence (ABEX) Awards have been revealed, and there is one local business vying for an honour.
Wilhelm Construction is up for the Growth and Expansion Award. The business has seen its operations grow considerably since it opened a few years ago.
Also up for the award are two Yorkton businesses, Crusader Drilling Corp. and Yorkton Plumbing and Heating, along with G-Mac's Ag Team in Kindersley, North Fringe Industrial Technologies of Nipawin and DevFacto Technologies Inc. in Regina.
A total of 54 businesses are vying for 10 awards. The awards will be handed out October 26 in Saskatoon.
“We were very pleased by the quality, number and wide range of nominees for this year’s awards,” said Saskatchewan Chamber CEO Steve McLellan. “Saskatchewan’s entrepreneurial spirit is going to shine very brightly on October 26th; the ABEX will be showcasing strong, innovative and high quality businesses, and the contribution they continue to make to our vibrant economy.”
