Information, services, merchandise and entertainment were served up at this year's Estevan Bump, Baby and Toddler Expo, which happened on September 15 at the Icon Centre.
Committee member Rebecca Fee said they had about 600 people attend the event, and that was good news for more than 60 exhibitors who had booths or displays. Both numbers were up from last year, even though this year's expo happened on just one day. Last year's event was spread out over two days.
"I think it was better (having it on just one day), but I think next year we're going to move it to a Saturday," said Fee.
People who attended the event had a great time, she said. They could visit booths that offered a variety of information, services and products, including diaper cakes, photographers, children's clothing, toys, food, Tupperware and more.
"I think everybody was really happy with how it went," said Fee.
The entertainment included a baby crawl, performances from the Music for Young Children, and demonstrations for zumba, baby-wearing and cloth diapers.
A balloon artist, a face-painter and a glitter tattoo artist were also part of the event, and those went over well, Fee said. Mickey Mouse, Elmo and Oscar the Grouch showed up to the delight of the families in attendance.
Proceeds from the expo will be directed to the obstetrics ward at St. Joseph's Hospital in Estevan.
