The milestone 20th edition of the Estevan Showcase Business Expo is sold out.
Estevan Chamber of Commerce marketing and events coordinator Rebecca Howie said they will have 97 booths this year. Most of them will be on the floor of Spectra Place, but some will be in the Icon Centre, and others will be in the front court of the Souris Valley Aquatic and Leisure Centre.
"There's always a big variety," said Howie. "We always have food, vendors, photographers and destinations."
There will be a good mix of local businesses and out-of-town participants, she said, and a blend between new exhibitors and first-time vendors.
Exhibitors who want to be part of Showcase are now being placed on a wait list, Howie said.
Howie expects that the involvement of the Collage Cultural Festival will provide a boost for Showcase's numbers. Those who want to see Estevan's multi-cultural diversity that is celebrated in Collage will hopefully come and view the different exhibits that are a part of Showcase, and spend the afternoon at the Leisure Centre.
Due to the connection between Showcase and Collage this year, there won't be any other special attractions, such as last year when organizers brought in an antique appraiser. But Howie hopes that there will still be a strong turnout, especially since this is Showcase's 20th year, and it is an important event for the community.
