The Trackside Motocross Association had its first program of the year on August 24 as part of the Pure Energy Motorsports Weekend. Competitors from southeast Saskatchewan, North Dakota and other areas competed in the races as there were 13 different classes of dirt bike racing. Chris Colenutt was the winner of two of the divisions, the A class and the youth event. Tyler Slimmon was the winner of the B class and Ty Goforth was the champion in the C class. Kayden Hjorteland was the victor in the super mini class. Randy Franke finished first in the vet class and William Merett won the 125 two-stroke division. Kate Less was the winner in the women's event. Zaden Batty was the champion in the 50cc A class, and Dustin Monsinger took the 50cc B class. In the small wheel beginner class, Austin Knupp came in first, while Noah Jacobson took top spot in the 65cc class and Ty Stadnick won the 85cc class. The program in Estevan was also the fourth of seven races this year on the South Corner Racing Circuit. The circuit boasts events in Estevan, Oxbow, Carlyle and Weyburn, and the riders with the most points after seven events at the end of the season are crowned as champions. The Trackside Motocross Association will host their second and final event of the year on September 14.
