The Estevan Drag Racing Association had their final program of the year on August 25 at the Estevan Airport, which attracted many entrants and spectators. There were five classes during the program: the Quick 16, the A event, the bike/sled division, the street tire class, and the junior dragsters. The Quick 16 winner was Skip Zetner of Russell, Manitoba. Yellow Grass' Norm Dunsmore was the runner-up for the second straight program. Marcel Van de Woestyne of Weyburn was the champion in the A side class, and Tim Bowers, also of Weyburn, was the runner-up. Larry Elash of Estevan took the bike/sled division, defeating Dave Krahn from Estevan. Krahn was in the final for the second straight program. Ron Frayn of Weyburn finished first in the street class. Estevan's Alex Neumann finished second. In the junior dragster class, Rhys Jones of Oxbow was the winner. One of the highlights of the day was the Full Tilt Boogie Wheelstander. It made three runs throughout the afternoon. The vehicle was also on display at the Pure Energy Show and Shine on August 24. There was supposed be an appearance from the Emergency West Wheelstander, but due to mechanical issues, it was replaced by the Full Tilt Boogie. The event was tied in with the Pure Energy Motorsports Weekend.
