Shalane Haselhan from Lampman competed at the Canada Summer Games, which were held in Sherbrooke, Quebec, from August 2 to 18. She finished tied for ninth in the female high jump event. Her best leap was a height of 1.60 metres. The event took place on August 16, which was toward the end of the games. Sixteen athletes from across the country were competing in the event. Rachel Machin of Alberta won the gold medal with a height of 1.85 metres. Haselhan has also competed on a national level at the 2009 Canada Summer Games, and she was also entered in the 2011 Western Canada Summer Games.
