Agriculture history was celebrated over the course of two days in Midale, as the Souris Valley Antiques Association hosted their annual Pioneer Echoes event August 17 and 18.
Most of the activities were held in the town's antique village. Each day there was an antique parade – featuring vintage vehicles, tractors and farming equipment – followed by a threshing demonstration. The buildings within the antique village were open for tours on both days.
Other daily highlights included a pancake breakfast, children's activities, a flea market, music by international recording artist Toby Beaulieu and a show-and-shine.
The Saskatchewan Archaeological Society's caravan, which offers hands-on activities for the public, was at the antique village on August 18.
